Start planning for the annual Saskatoon Heartbeat Run — a community favourite since 2012!

This family-friendly event brings runners, walkers, and supporters together in celebration of heart health while raising funds for the Mending Little Hearts Fund. Your participation directly supports pediatric cardiac care and helps make a meaningful difference for families across Saskatchewan.

 A Scenic Route Through the Heart of Saskatoon

The Saskatoon Heartbeat Run features a beautiful, accessible course that starts and finishes in Kiwanis Park, right along the river valley pathway system. Participants enjoy stunning riverfront views, wide pathways, and a vibrant downtown atmosphere perfect for cheering spectators.

Whether you’re tackling your first 5K, aiming for a personal best, or joining as a family, this event delivers a fun and supportive race-day experience for all ages and abilities.

LOCATION & PARKING

The event is based at Kiwanis Memorial Park Park (621 Spadina Crews E).  Start/Finish line is adjacent to the Memorial Fountain.

PARKING

Ample parking is available in the areas adjacent to the park.  Follow the directions of our parking attendants.

COURSE AND EVENT DETAILS

The 10km – MAP

A fast out-and-back course! The 10 km athletes head north along the Meewasin Trail, following Spadina Crescent to the 5 km turnaround point. Then it’s back the same way to the finish. Water stations are located at the 2.5 km, 5 km, and 7.5 km marks.

5 km
Follows the same route as the 10 km, with a turnaround at the 2.5 km mark.

3 km
Same concept—turnaround at the 1.5 km mark.

All events are chip timed!

OUR CHARITY

 

Proceeds of this event will support the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundations Mending Little Hearts Fund of Saskatchewan and we want to thank you for helping us to raise maximum funds!

Their team of volunteers will be present from 8:30am – 10:30am at our event to accept on-site donations!

Anna Maton, Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator will bring Dr. Pockett out to the event who will talk about their future plans with money raised at events like ours.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Help make our events more environmentally friendly.  Bring your own Water container!
Waterbottles will be available fill your container.

After passing the finish line please continue past the finish.  Here you will find fruit, muffins & more!
Our medical services will also be available here.

We will not be providing age group awards at this years event.  All participants will receive a finisher medal.

Results will be posted onsite as they are updated and official results will be posted on our website within 24hours of the event.

This policy has been developed by Triathlon Alberta/Triathlon BC and utilized by Multisportscanada to make an appropriate decision when the Field of Play is impacted by low visibility or forest fire smoke.

We will be utilizing the Air Quality reporting made available by the Alberta Government.  https://airquality.alberta.ca/map/

With a Level of 7 or greater, the event will be cancelled.  We will notify participants 72 hours in advance with the current Air Quality levels, but as conditions can change within hours, a final decision will not be made until the morning of the event.

As we have applied for all permits, purchased all event materials (medals, cycling gear and related merchandise) and confirmed post event meal numbers meaning that we have committed all registrations to the event, with no possibility of getting these funds back, no refunds, credits or rollovers will be available.

If the event is cancelled, all event merchandise will be mailed out.
